Q1. Is it just louder?
A1. Aumeo Audio does not put in any extra volume gain. It only fills in what you need based on your audio profile.
Q2. Is it just a graphic equalizer?
A2. Aumeo Audio is much more than a graphic equalizer. Instead of the user adjusting each part of the music based on guesswork, our measurement process finds out exactly what your ears need to give you the best audio, using audiologist-approved methods.
Q3. I have hearing loss. Can I use Aumeo?
A3. Aumeo Audio is NOT a hearing aid or medical device, however it can still enhance music enjoyment for those with under 70dB hearing loss (mild to moderate hearing loss).
Q4. How often do I need to create an audio profile?
A4. You only have to create an audio profile once to use it for all your music needs. However for best precision we recommend making a new profile every 6 months.
Q5. Why do I need tailored audio?
A5. In the same why your headphones have unique sound signatures, your ears have their unique audio profiles (hearing sensitivity). Without tailoring audio to your ears’ sensitivity, your music would be muddy and unclear because you are missing out on sounds. You also risk of hearing damage as you turn up the volume to hear the details.
